FG Suspends Dana Air’s Operating Licence

The Federal Government on Tuesday suspended the operating licence of Dana Air, following Sunday’s crash of its MD83 jet in Iju Ishaga, Lagos.
The entire 153 passengers and crew onboard the aircraft perished as well as an unspecified number of people in some buildings, which the plane rammed into.
An unspecified number of people in the buildings also died in the crash.
A top aviation source told PUNCH that the airline’s licence was withdrawn to pave the way for a full investigation into the incident.
The source, who declined to be named, said the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority would issue a statement on the matter on Tuesday.
