Lukas Podolski has cast doubt over his proposed summer move to Arsenal by claiming he would be interested in joining Lazio.
The Gunners were reported to have agreed a £10.9million fee with Cologne and to be close to finalising personal terms with the Germany striker.
But Podolski has yet to make a decision about his future and could join international team-mate Miroslav Klose in Rome.
‘It would be great to play alongside him again. Miro has spoken well of Lazio and he’s happy in Rome,’ Podolski told Corriere dello Sport.
‘But my future has yet to be decided.’
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed his interest in Podolski, who he described as ‘a good player’, but has also said no agreement is in place.
