The care home which treated Nate Dogg in his final year has launched a six-figure lawsuit against the singer’s estate, claiming the a huge medical bill was left unpaid following his death.
CareMeridian, based in Orange County, California, are demanding a $293,512 settlement to cover the amount spent on Nathaniel ‘Nate Dogg’ Hale’s rehabilitation after he checked in following a stroke, his second in less than a year, in September 2008.
TMZ have received legal papers which state the bill covers cost of care from then until 2010. Despite personal guarantees from Hale’s manager the charge has still not been paid, leading a court to issue a default judgement against the singer’s estate.
Hale, who broke into the hip-hop industry alongside childhood friends Snoop Dogg and Warren G, died in March 2011 due to complications from multiple strokes.
