Federal Government’s Dialogue Proposal with Boko Haram Hits the rocks. In less than 48 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan disclosed government’s readiness to engage in a talk with members of Boko Haram sect if they disclose their identity with deep interest to sheath their sword.
The sect has rejected the offer warning stating that they would soon begin another phase of their campaign through  kidnapping  government officials family members as well as bombing of schools.
President Jonathan had  disclosed  in an interview that the Federal Government would be ready to engage in a fruitful discussion with the sect member so long as  their demands are clearly articulated and their identity divulged.
But in a swift response,  Imam Abubakar Shekau, the acclaimed leader of the sect, through a circulated message had asserted  that the group was not ready  group is not ready for any form of negotiation with the government but would soon commence another phase of the attack in schools as well as kidnapping of family members of top government officials.

“If (Nigerian security forces) are going to places of worship and destroying them, like mosques and Quranic schools, you have primary schools as well, you have secondary schools and universities and we will start bombing them. Touch us and see. That is what we will do”.
“If Jonathan does not repent as a Muslim, even if I die myself, Jonathan is going to see. He’s looking at me like I’m nobody, but he’ll see.”
“I am not against anyone, but if Allah asks me to kill someone, I will kill him and I will enjoy killing him like I am killing a chicken”
