Troubled star Lindsay Lohan is being sued by a paparazzo who claims he was injured when her car ran into him in Los Angeles two years ago.
Grigor Balyan was taking photos of the actress as she left a Hollywood club in January 2010, when he said Lohan’s car, driven by her assistant – hit him, TMZ reported.
Lohan is being sued despite not being the driver because she was directing the car, Balyan’s lawyer Neil Steiner said.
The accident left Balyan with orthopedic and neurological injuries, and he is seeking “reasonable compensation” after failing to settle with Lohan’s insurance company, Steiner added.
The news came a day after it was revealed that the “Mean Girls” actress owes the IRS $93,701 in unpaid taxes.
The government tax agency obtained a lien against Lohan for unpaid income taxes from 2009, according to court documents filed in Los Angeles, TMZ reported.
Her spokesman later told the site she was completely unaware she owed money, as she thought she had accountants to take care of her finances. He added that the issue would be “handled immediately.”
The 25 year old, who is no stranger to controversy, currently is completing a community service sentence as part of her probation for a necklace theft conviction in May and a 2007 DUI case.
In November, Lohan pleaded guilty to violating her probation for missing too many volunteer appointments, but at her latest court hearing in December, she was praised for her renewed commitment to her community work.
She will be in court January 17 for probation progress report.
