Taye Taiwo alerts Arsenal with rant over AC Milan first-team chances

AC Milan defender Taye Taiwo has emerged as the potential answer to Arsenal’s full-back nightmare after voicing his frustration at his lack of first-team action.
The 26-year-old Nigerian, who was only signed by Milan in the summer from Marseille, has made just six appearances for the Italian champions so far this season, and could become a January target for Arsene Wenger if his situation doesn’t improve.
‘I am suffering every day because I don’t get to play football. I joined this club in order to play, but I have made only six appearances so far,’ Taiwo told L’Equipe.
‘I don’t understand how things work in Italy. Sometimes I even have to watch from the stands, but I really need to play in order to show what I can do.
‘It looks like [coach Massimiliano] Allegri doesn’t have faith in me. It’s not like me to just sit back and do nothing in a situation like this.’
The left-back is under contract with Milan until 2014, but with Luca Antonini keeping him out of the side, and Arsenal currently without Andre Santos, Kieran Gibbs, Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson due to injury, a loan bid for the highly-rated Taiwo may not be out of the question.
